Bulgaria – From Snow to Surf

From the aptly named Sunny Beach resort area to the snowy peaks of Mount Vitosha, Bulgaria is a study in contrasts. Perched on the eastern Balkan peninsula, Bulgaria boarders five countries—Greece,Turkey, Macedonia, Serbia, and Romania—as well as a large portion of the Black Sea.

Bulgaria has a rich history and counts everyone from the Thracians to the Romans as having an influence on its culture and architecture. Discover caves with traces of Neolithic settlements, dazzling tombs where treasures of gold and silver were once kept, and stunning Roman ruins.

Despite—or maybe because of—its storied past, Bulgaria is a somewhat mysterious nation. It’s relatively undiscovered by tourists from outside Europe and has the feeling of being a little bit off the beaten path. But there’s far more that what meets the eye here.

Bulgaria boasts the strongest and most stable currency in Eastern Europe. The capital, Sofia, is the largest city in Bulgaria in addition to being its economic hub. Here you will find a vibrant city centre with bars, restaurants, and night clubs existing alongside hundreds of historic landmarks and monuments.

Bulgaria offers investors permanent residency leading to citizenship with an initial minimum investment of 1,000,000 Bulgarian lev, or approximately €511,292 in the form of Bulgarian government bonds. This initial investment is held and returned without interest after five years of residency.

A second option allows investors to leverage their capital by choosing a Financed Investment option. Applicants choosing this option need to demonstrate net worldwide assets of no more than €1 million.
